I’m excited to introduce a new series of relaxed sketchbook workshops taking place at Mayfield Garden Centre, easily accessible from Southampton and Winchester in Hampshire.
These creative sessions are inspired by nature and the beautiful surroundings of the garden centre.
Using sketching, colour, and mixed media techniques, you’ll be guided to build your own personal sketchbook filled with observations, ideas, and expressive mark-making.
This is a calm and enjoyable creative experience with no pressure to produce finished artwork. Instead, the focus is on slowing down, exploring materials, and developing confidence in your own way of drawing and responding to the world around you.
Inspiration will come from plants, natural textures, seasonal changes, and interesting objects found within the garden centre itself. Each session encourages you to see familiar surroundings in a new and creative way.
Your first workshop includes a sketchbook to begin your journey, which you can continue developing across future sessions if you choose to return.
These workshops are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with more experience who want to reconnect with creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment.
