The Shared Studio - Join my online community as a Founding Member

I’ve been teaching art in person for a few years now, and I absolutely love it.

There’s something really special about creating alongside other people. Sharing ideas, trying new things, making mistakes, having those little moments of “oh, I didn’t expect that!”- I find it so inspiring to see other people create and feel great about what they have made.

But I have had people recently ask questions. People who live too far away to attend my workshops in person.

So I started thinking…

What if we could create that feeling online too?

And that’s where The Shared Studio came from.

I wanted to create a space that feels safe, welcoming and easy to be part of.

A place where we can come together as artists, even though our art, our experience and our creative spaces might all look completely different.

You might have a beautiful, purpose-built studio.

Or you might paint at the kitchen table. It doesn't matter.

What matters is that we all have something in common.

We want to create.

We want to feel inspired.

We want to learn, experiment and grow.

And sometimes, doing all of that on our own can feel hard.

Finding the motivation. Knowing what to try next. Wondering if we’re doing it “right”. Or looking at someone else’s work and wondering why ours doesn’t look like theirs.

I don’t think we need to do any of that alone.

The Shared Studio is a place to share our work, celebrate our wins, ask questions, talk about the things that aren’t working, try new things and make mistakes.

Because there isn’t one right way to be an artist.

Your way doesn’t have to look like my way.

We can learn from each other, inspire each other and encourage each other to find our own way.

Together. 🤍

What will we do?

The Shared Studio will grow with the community, but at its heart, it’s about art, creativity and connection.

There will be courses and creative projects, including The Art of Creative Freedom, which is already inside the community and ready for you to begin.

There’ll be support and guidance from me, Richie and the other artists who join us, along with live calls, videos and resources to help you keep creating.

And most importantly, I want it to be a place where you can experiment, build confidence and discover more about your own way of working.

And then there’s Vaultuz

Richie, my husband, has spent the last four years building Vaultuz, an organisational platform designed specifically for artists.

We’re bringing Vaultuz into The Shared Studio too, giving you tools to organise your ideas, plan projects and keep a record of your creative journey.

But the art comes first.

Vaultuz is simply another tool to support everything else we’re doing.

I don’t have all the answers

And I think that’s important.

I have lots of ideas for The Shared Studio, but I don’t know exactly what it will become yet.

And I actually think that’s a good thing.

I want us to shape it together.

When I teach in person, I learn from my workshop attendees just as much as they learn from me. Someone asks a question I hadn’t thought about. Someone approaches something in a completely different way. Someone shares an idea that inspires somebody else.

I want that to continue here.

Because sometimes the biggest difference is simply knowing that you’re not alone.

So what are the benefits to becoming a Founding Member?

Well you get to help shape this community. Bring new ideas to the table, share what challenges you face, what you find difficult so I can build the content around YOU.

Membership is £12 a month, and as a Founding Member, your price will stay at £12 a month for as long as you remain a member. It will never go up.

But you won’t just be joining a community.

You’ll be helping to shape it.

So wherever you create, whatever your experience, and whatever your style…

There’s a place for you here.

You don’t need to have all the answers.

You don’t even need to know exactly what you’re doing.

You just need to want to create.

And we can figure the rest out together.

Find our own way. Together. 🤍
