Life moves fast, doesn’t it?
One minute you’re making a cup of tea, the next you’re answering emails, scrolling, rushing out the door… and somehow, the day disappears. I found myself craving the opposite of that — a little stillness, a bit of space to just notice the quiet beauty around me.
That’s really where Quiet Moments began.
This collection is all about those gentle, everyday pauses — the kind that often go unnoticed but hold so much feeling. A golden imperfect pear from my mum’s garden. A lemon, a shadow.
I didn’t set out to create anything “perfect” — far from it. I just followed what felt right. I’d start with a cup of tea, some music, and slowly arrange objects until something clicked. Then I’d paint — sometimes for hours, sometimes only for a few quiet minutes.
There’s something really magical about that process — about letting go of pressure and just responding to what’s in front of you. That’s what this series is: a little reminder to slow down, to breathe, to reconnect with the beauty in the ordinary.
Because there’s a lot of it.
I hope these paintings give you that same sense of calm and presence I felt while creating them. A moment to pause. To feel. To notice something small — and let it stay with you.
