Pruikenboom was inspired by a smoke tree with the most beautiful royal purple leaves that I pass every day in my Hampshire village.
I was drawn to the rich reds, deep purples and earthy autumn tones, and wanted to capture the natural glow as the sun strikes the leaves. There is a quiet beauty.
